Future of Crowdsourcing workshop at Crowdsourcing Summit in Cologne

On April 28, immediately after my keynote at TheNextWeb conference in Amsterdam, I will travel to Cologne to run a workshop on the Future of Crowdsourcing. Unfortunately I will miss what looks like an excellent Crowdsourcing Summit on April 27 as I will be speaking in Amsterdam that day.

I’ve made a short video to introduce some of what we’ll be covering in the Future of Crowdsourcing workshop.

This highly interactive and participatory workshop will explore the future of crowdsourcing. Led by Ross Dawson, futurist and author of Getting Results From Crowds, the workshop will delve into:

The future for crowdsourcing services and platforms
New areas that crowdsourcing will be applied to
The implications for the future of work
The implications for the future of organizations
How language-specific (e.g. German, French, Japanese) crowdsourcing platforms will evolve
Future of crowdfunding

Agenda
The workshop will be highly participatory and shaped by the attendees, including elements of bar camp and unconference style events. As such there will not be a firm agenda for the workshop, but it is likely to include the following elements:

Future of Crowdsourcing
Presentation of frameworks and discussion
Current crowdsourcing landscape
Future crowdsourcing landscape
Future of work and organizations
Future of crowdfunding

Workshop outputs
Workshop outputs created by the participants in this and other similar workshops held around the world will be shared on the Future of Crowds website and be used as part of global contributions in creating the second edition of Getting Results From Crowds.
